This Academy’s name was inspired from this verse.
Isaiah 54:13 “your children shall be taught of the Lord, and great shall be their peace.”
A haven is a place of refuge. It is a place one would run to when in need of safety. We called the academy the Haven of Peace because we felt it is a place both the parents and the children would come to and find a place of peace, safety, and calmness to be able to educate their children. We live in a world that is full of unrest and uncertainties. We need to find rest in God!
The name of the Lord is a strong tower, the righteous run to it and are safe! Pro 18:10.
As a high school teacher and having been involved with the ACE curriculum since 2003 both in a school setting and as a home-schooling mum, I have come to appreciate the effect of parents home-schooling their own children. And now more so considering the state of the world, my husband and I are fully persuaded that home-schooling is the way to go. And what better curriculum than ACE!
In December 2020, Haven of Peace was born. We have since seen an influx of parents requesting to register with our academy. This is also because of the long period that children stayed at home without learning since schools were closed.
Our Vision
The Vision of the Home Education Academy is to walk with the home-schooling parent step by step as they train their children to follow in the ways of the Lord using the tool of ACE. Isaiah 54:13
Our Mission
The Mission of the Academy is to reach out to the parents and equip each one of them for the training of their children, one parent at a time.
Our Purpose
To provide quality assurance and support to home-schooling families who are registered with Haven of Peace Home Education Academy using the ACE curriculum.
